After achieving degrees in both Nursing and Exercise Physiology, opening her medical management company, raising her 3 children and then selling her business, she felt she could pursue her artistic pursuit. She began to take lessons with Julia Diller in Los Angeles in 2009 and within 2 years began to win juried contests and selling her work. Maureen finds her passion in painting landscape and nature finds inspiration around her in surroundings at her home in Lake Arrowhead, Ca. where she resides with her husband.
Native Californian, Laura Wambsgans began landscape oil painting sixteen years ago, after working as the managing director of a major recording studio and then as a sculptor for two decades. Between studying intensely with Scott Christensen, among well-respected landscape painters and painting daily, Wambsgans strives to capture the effect of light on the land, though color and paint quality. Since 1986, Wambsgans' work has been exhibited nationally in solo and group exhibitions.
