Kim T. Black
Kim T. Black is a second-generation ceramic artist whose work is rooted in both tradition and place. Originally from Georgia and now based in California, his perspective blends Southern warmth and craftsmanship with a more relaxed, minimal West Coast sensibility.
Introduced to pottery at a young age through his mother, Kim developed an early appreciation for the rhythm of the wheel and the character of handmade objects. Today, he carries that influence forward through a process that values simplicity, balance, and the natural variation that comes from working by hand.
Each piece is wheel-thrown in small batches, designed to feel both functional and quietly expressive. His work reflects a connection to tradition while embracing a modern, understated aesthetic - objects made to be lived with and appreciated over time.
