Born in San Diego, California, Scott Pryde has long held a creative affinity for the places that water and land meet.   Nurtured by his grandmother, Alice Pryde, an artist herself, and later under the training of renowned watercolorist Harold Montague, Scott has become known for his vivid paintings of west coast waterscapes, east coast cottage country, and Mountain vistas.  Much of Scott's work illustrates how light is reflected, absorbed then experienced on canvas. Scott has been a part time mountain resident for 18 years.
